Power Washing

Power washing is a process used to remove dirt, mud, mildew, mold, and other contaminants from the exterior of a building using pressurized water. It differentiates from pressure washing by using heated water which breaks down contaminated materials easier than regular water. Due to the heavy machinery and force of the water, only professionals should handle power washing as it could potentially cause injury or damage to the property. Due to the force of the water, power washing should only be done on hard, exterior surfaces like patios, sidewalks, fences, decks, and driveways. These surfaces need the extra force to remove any grime and dirt.

Pressure Washing

Pressure washing uses high pressure water to blast away dirt, mold, mildew, and other materials. It differs from power washing by using normal temperature water as the force of the water rather than the temperature of the water rids of the hazardous materials. Pressure washing is done with heavy machinery and at a high velocity so it should only be done by professionals. Due to the high velocity of the water, pressure washing should only be done on hard, exterior surfaces like sidewalks, fences, decks, driveways, patios, and pathways. These surfaces need the extra force provided by pressure washing to remove any grime or dirt.

Soft Washing

Soft washing uses chemical solutions that are eco-friendly and environmentally safe to clean the exterior of a home. Houses feature several weather coating protections and layers of paint that could potentially be damaged by a high pressured washer. Due to the chemicals being used, only professionals should handle such cleaning. The process of soft washing involves applying the chemical solution, then leaving the solution to work for several minutes. This will allow the solution to sink into the cracks and pores of the siding, breaking down any dirt, mold, mildew, or other materials. Then it will be rinsed using a low rinse system which will rid the house of the solution and dirt.
